I think you overpaid the MTL deal and underpaid the ANA deal.

Habs accept but again I don't think it's a huge overpayment. I mean you get a pk monster with team control and a decent middle 6 rental winger

3c is one of the avs weakest positions and jost is the best option on the roster, that move really makes them probably worse overall since compher is really bad in the 3c role and is better on the wing

Don’t think that really fixes anything from the avs, takes away at the c depth and gives them more what they have in defensive wingers with limited offensive ability

Colorado could use those two as the core of a package to acquire ~idk let's say~ 1.5 seasons of Tomas Hertl at half retention or like Alex Tuch, Jack Roslovic, etc.

That’s a massive overpay and makes them worse. Jost is the best player in the group already and is improving and COL ADDS a 1st no thanks, Jost is already a PK defensive monster and plays center. That’s a better package than NJ got for Palmieri and Zajac

Jost and 1st is a significantly better and more attractive package than those 2
