That’s because the other teams wouldn’t do them. Strome isn’t worth that and Carolina can’t afford Kreider with Svechnikov and Hamilton needing new deals next year.

They need a left winger, they have JP and Yamamoto on right side. they do need a 3rd line right shot center and Chia got rid of that with Strome who was perfect. But now he makes to much money.
