i honestly dont know a ton about kunins value. if the trade was one for one a this point i think i would still want to see the flames do it.

also playing hockey god a little here and in this scenario nashville is sending johanson to seattle so they need a center. lol

Deep down the middle for sure, strong defensively like Sutter wants but this team seriously lacks high end scoring. That's what is touh about moving Monahan, he is a top end goal scorer but when he isn't scoring he is not useful. I have much less faith in Phillips than most of the fans on this website, at best he turns into a Tyler Ennis type guy.

A 3rd rounder doesn't ensure Seattle will pick the guy you want. Six years for Denault? Gotta think that will be a long term disappointment.

well the options are giordano or glen gawdin basicallt, if they just so happen to take gawdin i think the flames would survive, made sure the cap space could still manage giordanos contract in case. a third to take a contract of a d man that is still producing 0.5 ppg instead of an ahl player is a gift. this situation danault replaces backlund in a few years time, if that is a 3c fine, plays well defensively and replaces whats lost in backlund

I’m not a big monahan fan to say the least but I think you can do better than Kunin. He’s not a top line guy and Benning and the second round pick don’t really add much

that’s fair. big part of my thinking going into Monahan is that he will walk in two years wherever he goes, he won’t be worth a pay raise and wherever he is will let him walk. I think monahan getting a mid second alone is borderline a decent return for him

I’m thinking a first and kunin would be fair, assuming Nashville has the cap space. Lotto protected first or whatever. Monahan does have the potential to pop 30 goals if you play him in the right spots

While Monahan isn't a tip end #1 center there are plemty of teams out there that he wojld be a huge upgrade. Columbus id think would be first on the list.

I like Kunin as a depth player but that is a pretty crappy return for Monahan

I dont know what you think he is but a mid 2nd and a young rfa roster player at a position of weakness is as good as it should get for him

and judging from your post history you value Monahan as an overpaid 3rd line winger

Overpaid mid 6 c. Easy as it gets, he scores he’s good, he’s not scoring he’s bad.

if Backlund was getting that much people would be livid Backlund is a mid 6 c so yeah, monahan is paid too much for what he does. pure goal scorer and nothing else, if you choose to blindly like him then I can’t change that.

Hahaha you’ll learn quick not to bother with the Legendary guy, he’s a clown here who sucks off the Flames more than anyone other than Gmonwy. They’re probably the same person or both choose to be idiots.

If it's a first + Kunin + Benning I'd consider it. I think the current trade value favors nashville.
