Laf seems like a great kid. Always smiling and enthusiastic. Biggest cheerleader on the team. Laine seems like a head case. Thats a no from NYR

You know...if you blanked out the names, and did a side by side comparison of them coming up, plus their actual potential, I think the Rags would take it in a heart beat. Unfortunately Laine comes attached to a bunch of narratives that may or may not be true.

If I'm Columbus, I'm replacing Torts this offseason (he's done a great job, but it's probably time for a change), with someone a bit more offensive-minded, that can get more out of guys like Atkinson, Laine and Domi.

you’re not getting a first from us for Korpisalo, there’s an argument that Koskinen is better than him. Go for a reasonable price, that just doesn’t cut it for us

As much as Winnipeg would like getting Jones, there is probably zero chance they give up Heinola for one year of him.

Overpay on Korpisalo, firsts are worth a lot in a flat cap world. Oilers don't go higher than a second. Especially when CBJ is in a position where they could very well be exposing him in the expansion draft.

Joonas Korpisalo is one of the most overrated goalies in the NHL. Had a good rookie year, and a great 9 games in the playoffs last year. He's been middling to outright bad the rest of his career.

Trades-

1) EDM declines, Korpisalo isn’t getting a 1st, maybe a late second.

2) NYR declines, Laf is a teenage rookie he will be better than Laine in 2 years.

3) Columbus declines, Atkinson loves Columbus and Columbus loves him, hard to see them moving him unless he asks to be traded or he is a pending UFA.

4) Columbus declines, that is a very pitiful return on Jones, yes his advanced stats suck but every player on the jackets advanced stats suck. Jones won’t be traded unless there’s a top 6 center and a 1st in the return and that’s without an extension in place, he also won’t be traded if he agrees to an extension before the season starts.
