I don’t see the appetite to add another 5 years at 6 mil to the cap situation, especially to not play Duchene at C. Dumba probably needs a prospect to go along with that pick, I think Samberg could be agreeable for both sides.

Dumba isn't really the kind of defenseman Winnipeg needs, but for only the 1st, I think the Jets would be interested.

Surely Wild can spend 6m X 5 better than on Duchene

I don't see NSH doing that deal -- they already have 8 years of Turris at $2m on the cap, and I don't think they'd want to add years of $2m for Duchene on top of that. I think they'd rather see if SEA wants him or just stick with it. NSH isn't in a bad cap spot next season, so they don't need to cut his salary if they don't want to.

Wild aren't trading dumba for a 2021 1st round pick when wild already have two 1st round pick this year.

Dumba is worth more . Wild aren't trading dumba to their rival for this low of a cost

Duchene has been a locker room cancer in the past. I don't see Guerin spending a huge chunk of cap space on someone who could disrupt the culture he is trying to build.
