oh :/ I dunno how Werenski got in added in there, if that helps it make any more sense...

idea was that CBJ fails to sign Laine, opts for full reset, and Jones isn't interested in sticking that out, so they flip him for the younger dahlin. skinner contract helps stay above the floor while in 'tank' mode

It still doesn't. No way CLB trades Jones, Dahlin isn't close to him and I don't think will ever be. CLB needs Jones / Werenski to build a team around. And a small market team will never take on a $9 million dollar anchor, even for 2 firsts and more.

Agree with most here, but I would not be so sure on Dahlin. He's going to be really good.

Buff eats money, loses a first overall and two other top 5 picks (maybe firsts) for Seth Jones and an empty shell when they are nowhere near finishing a rebuild? What would Seth Jones do for them?
