People think just because he's a pest he's not good enough. But he's arguably more valuable to his team than half the guys on that roster.

People can't keep 2 thoughts in their head at once: "Is Brad Marchand a really good hockey player?" - "no, he's annoying" like okay you haven't engaged with the subject at all, good job buddy.

Who's a better LW this year, or even on aggregate the last 3 seasons? Panarin would be close, but Marchand is more consistent and for sure has a better season right now. Hall? Also really good, but he's had some struggles too. Marchand has to be the pick, no? I don't even know if Svechnikov plays left wing, but that would be one possible contention I guess.

Marchand is one of a few elite scoring wingers who don't get caved in defensively. It feels like we always talk about how imporant defense is, but then we toss it out because Draisaitl scores another 10 points. Or it doesn't count for Patrick Kane cause he won a few cups. Or it doesn't matter for Ovechkin cause he's a generational goal scorer. Marchand is keeping up with those guys in scoring while also playing solid two-way hockey. Idk. Its weird.

It's beyond me. I had posted a forum where I put Marchand in my top 5 in Hart Trophy nominations (he's 2nd to McDavid in my opinion) but people act like I'm putting Wilson in there. I get why people don't like Marchand, but to not even acknowledge that he's a top LW (and top winger in general) is insane. Like you said, he does it all. Only other Bruin is Bergeron in the top 30 in points in the NHL, and he's number 20 while Matchand is 3rd. He's elite whether or not people like it.

For me, Demko was included because if he can possibly bring back the performance against Vegas and the other two starters (Vassy and Hellebuyck) get hurt, he can be a valuable goalie

I included Marchand because despite being a Vancouver fan, he is still undoubtedly a good player. Also, I wanted to keep the chemistry of the perfection line together

Karlsson was a bit of wildcard, it was either him or Brent Burns but I went with Karlsson since his offensive playstyle will suit the star offense this team has
