Wonder what Zibanejad would want on a contract extension when he's eligible to sign one this summer?

Doubt the Rangers would need to add anything in a Fiala/Zibanejad trade, but my fear would be how the Wild would make the cap work given I'd think he'd want at least what Hayes received, prolly more.

OK, add something.

It wasn't a post about individual trades as much as it was about overall direction. Ranger fans are split into two camps. One that wants to build around skill up and down the lineup, build through the draft, save cap space, and play the long game. (That was the Gorton strategy). Another group wants to move some of the skilled players out, add more physical, gritty veterans with post-season experience to roster and make a run to win next year (that is the Dolan path).

This roster was just showing the former, the Gorton strategy, at work.

Ti think wild are going to trade 1 of their only two young dynamic winger along with kaprizov is so beyond nonsense.

No dude rangers add but fiala is off base. Fiala scored more, & is a dynamic young winger under control longer

To think wild who are going younger are going to trade for 30's plus player, & free agent in 1 year isn't realistic or reality

Dude wild aren't trading fiala. No team is going to trade their young dynamic winger for an older player whose not a part of wild future

Kevin fiala is untouchable. Much like kaprizov, Jonas Brodin, Jared spurgeon, Marcus foligno, Joel Eriksson Ek.

Wild are / & have been going younger.
