Description
This is a stretch and I highly doubt this happens
RNH values I kinda feel has waned a little so we get him for less than I thought he would at the beginning of the season,
But he would fit super well into our system.
We also only sign him if we are forced to void Kane’s deal. And I really don’t wan’t that but I think this end up being a finiancial requirement for Kane.
Hymen is the best available person who also fits an obvious need of ours! I think his numbers are inflated due to the surrounding players but he’s still a 20 goal 45-50 point player.

Driedgar is IMO the best available goalie at an ideal age to sign. (Under 30)

Those 3 will help reshape our weakest positions, top 6 forward group and goaltending.

Seattle expansion draft we lose Simek in my opinions.
Simek is the best for both us and Seattle
If they take him. They get a top 4 stay at home D man on a fair contract. And We save a little money letting him go and we have a built in replacement in Knyzhov who is younger and I feel better!
Hertl trade is bad for us as he is a heart and soul player... but we won’t have the funds to resign him next offseason and we can’t just let him walk for nothing, so we pick up a close replacement (well kinda) and a 1st. Strome is younger and I feel he is underrated. With this we get a good player and another top piece for our retool!
As for Meir I am just not sold on him. I feel we need to get what we can and move on. This trade provides us a solid young player for our 3C or top 6 wing group a d a 1st to bolster our prospect pool, Johnson is a reclamation project and Jersey has younger wings with more upside coming up soon this helps offset the cap hit of Meir and opens up spots for the prospects.
Donato and kellman just don’t fit our future plans but they are decent players we trade them to Detroit to give them a chance to play, or any team who will give us a 3rd and a 5th.

Taxi squad:
These are players who will most likely be fringe players fighting for time on the 3rd/4th lines, bottom D pairings and backup goalie. Would not be shocked to see these guys steal starts but I feel the other guys deserve at least the first chance.
Marleau gets one more year as an on ice coach working with the young kids and giving us real solid leadership. But this is his swan song and he retires at the end of the year.

Hughs, Coronato, and Cossa would
Represent an ideal 3 1st rounders from
This draft for us, I figure if we can get lucky in the lottery and draft 4-6 we get Hughs, Coronato at 14-17 with the rangers pick, and Cossa around 20-25 with the islanders pick.
all three are committed to playing in collage so at least for the 1st year or two they wouldn’t be able to help us and they can’t sign those contracts, but they will go a long way in restoring our prospect depth and I hope all 3 can help the future of the sharks. I see them being solid pieces for the sharks around 23/24 to 24/25 seasons.

This team is a fringe playoff team I see them a 6-8 seed if they have chemistry and a rebound season from Karlson. Otherwise we’re on the outside looking in. But we have a bunch more pieces for the future and a prospect pool that’s growing and starting to look more legit

I think Rangers accept. Hertl is a difference maker but his injuries and contract status hurt his value. This is pretty fair but might need to throw in another piece for SJ.

I’d say another b/C level prospect but we have a glut of those and don’t need another, if anything another mid round pick either way I felt this helped both clubs.

Underselling on Hertl imo, and I wouldn’t touch RNH in free agency either (he’s gonna get more than what’s here I think). Otherwise, it looks fine.

I was torn and personally I would prefer to keep Kane, I just feel his legal issues lead to the voiding of his deal, if that’s the case we’re not allowed to resign him and he’s gone, RNH fills a void and gives us good depth and he’s far better than Hall and much younger than ovechkin and EKG65 prevents us from picking up Hoffman.

Adding another bad contract with RNH 😔

How many bad contracts can a team have...

They're at 5 here + the Jones buyout it's brutal

RNH couldn't even hit 40 points this year playing a lot with a 180 point duo, just turned 28 why on earth would he deserve one of the biggest UFA contracts

In 21 minutes a game as well

Is everyone here hypnotized by him or something

Generally the player and the team have to mutually agree to terminate the contract. In extreme circumstances, if one side can prove that the other violated the terms of the contract, they can sue for it to be terminated.

In this case, Kane wants to terminate the contract, because it nullifies his debts that he used the contract as collateral against (although I doubt the bankruptcy judge will allow it) and the team wants out of the large cap hit for a guy with questionable character and less than amazing performance. So, they would be going the "mutual agreement" route.

RNH I feel was depended on as a 2C this year to offset MD and his focal point was to quell other teams best line leaving his numbers diminished, you might be 100% right but I’m hoping he flourishes here as our top line. And all
My contract I signed here end before or on the players year 35 season, Wilson issue lately is signing all these players till they are like 40

Just a piece of advice for future AGMs. Put the comments of a specific trade in the trade notes of that one, not in the general comments section.

you're right, Meier's 4 more goals in an additional 4 games would certainly put us over the edge. totally worth it to give up a first and a guy that's 2 years younger than him and already better than him

you're right, Meier's 4 more goals in an additional 4 games would certainly put us over the edge. totally worth it to give up a first and a guy that's 2 years younger than him and already better than him

Timo Meier is a 30-goal guy. Kuokkanen is an unwanted former Carolina prospect who just hard career year in short season. Gosh.

      Yeah, thats my point

      Meier - 88 goals in 317 gams
      Zacha - 54 goals in 316 games

That is 8 more per season than your top scorer

Just a piece of advice for future AGMs. Put the comments of a specific trade in the trade notes of that one, not in the general comments section.

I forgot to and was lazy and didn’t feel like voiding to add the details back In

Meir had a horrible year statistically, but he’s a talented guy just hitting his prime and could easily surpass 30 goals, just not in the sharks system, he played a lot off wing this year and got bounced around to even out matchups and it wasn’t fair, he needs to be in the top line LW and he will be at his best.
And a high 3rd a former 30 goal scorer who is 25 for a guy with 8 career goals, a reclamation project and a mid round 1st isn’t a tall order.
