If Boston didnt throw the draft in 2015

Created by: jwg314

Description
Not to be taken seriously. I specifically recall watching the draft and knowing that Barzal, Connor, and Chabot were the consensus picks at their position, it's not even hindsight. Obviously Bruins would be struggling with cap and other moves wouldn't have happened/would have been forced to happen, but let's just have some fun with it. Maybe they figure out a trade for Krejci and actually somehow manage to be compliant.

Nadda, you pushed off to start a new thread (ps it's been done ^ ^ ^)

What I engaged in/presented was a factual point of view on how a teams pick is not the way some flippantly comment - like 'fans', instead of GMs...

I never said they won the draft - not once. However, they picked two guys as per the "scouting reports" and went off the board for ZS.

No matter how you slice it/dice it/spin it - DeBrusk still leads all the 2015 class in PLAYOFF goals - even McJesus - that is fact.

Now back to your US$7,885,171M Cap crunch ^ ^ ^ there Jakey - chop-chop

No one is even coming at you, man. It was always in fun. You're so brutally condescending, I really hope it's a bit.

McDavid has 10 goals in 17 games, JD has 16 in 51. What is even your angle there?

Eh, I'm not even going to speak on a 5th round pick swap. That's truly 100% hindsight.

I remember Senyshyn was way off the board and DeBrusk was off the board but not as bad, i think Zboril was in that range, everyone on NBC was confused

Since 2010 - total games played by each clubs drafted players:
NYI - 4,060
BOS - 4,907
BUFF - 5,278

EDIT:
Tem Reg Seas Wins since 2010
NYI - 405
BOS - 480
BUFF - 318

Lets just say we know the PLAYOFF record since 2010.

You are looking at an 'anomaly'/'outlier' and basing too much on a blip in time and thinking if you were in those shoes you'd be so much better; you would not.

Remember the game is 60 minutes not a Griffin Reinhart or Alex Nylander moment in time...

What is this number drop even supposed to mean in regards to what we’re talking about here? You’re now taking an argument that BOS failed the draft in 2015 and you’re now bringing in completely irrelevant stats over a 10-year period and comparing them to two teams that haven’t been nearly as competitive as BOS in that time period. You’re down bad, my friend.

And if I’m missing your point here, it’s solely because you’re completely Incoherent in this response.

Look up anomaly/outlier... (anomaly.com)

As you can/should clearly see - BOS w/ more wins over a more realistic period of time places higher in the standings.
That effort thus gets a lesser draft standing as per the NHL rankings.
However, they've managed to select picks that make the SHOW more than NYI and percentage-wise more than BUFF

All the while, its usually later in the draft (or with less picks because they oft trade them to get UFAs/trades for playoff wins instead of tee times)...

PS - stick to the hockey (I am not "incoherent", "trolling", "reeking of insecurity" or "condescending") stick to the hockey...

Debrusk will end his career with less. Not even a question lol. But all this **** is so stupid. You can't say the bruins would have been worse if they had had better draft picks than they did. I mean you can say well it didn't hurt.the organization which is true but it would probably have helped.

I’d check with capfriendly. I think you’re they 10,000th person to make this ACGM. You might have won a prize.

Senyshyn was the only wacky one. It was wacky. It was stupid. It was bad. We’ve all been aware of this for a long time.

I remember watching the draft and thinking "what is boston doing?". Obviously the bruins have been fine, but my god that was a great draft class.

Look at the 1996 draft. The sabres drafted erik rasmussen at pick 7, he played for a couple years, grinded it out on the bottom 6, usually you want more from a 7th pick, but when you look back, IT WASNT A REACH. Theres nothing behind him until briere went at pick 24, and the best player in the draft was chara at pick 56.
