Description
Yzerman press conference the other day, he said a couple notes:
-Talked about filling holes on D
-Need to bring in scoring
-Talking to teams about cap relief or expansion help

Tried to address these points on this AGM

Debated on buying out Frans or DK, but DK both frees up a D spot, plus gives more cap relief than Frans.

Probably too much return on Parise deal, but you get the idea.

Just basing it off of the word that a deal was close recently for him. I asked the same question when I heard it then. Parise and Lou are meant to be I guess. ha

Pretty sure that's illegal. Trading for Parise isn't a terrible idea though, if MN is willing to give up a 1st.

Reinhart is better than Bertuzzi and this trade is close to even but I'm not sure I'd make it. A couple of terms constantly come up in ACGM Titles "Getting Tougher" and "Adding Grit". 2 things Bertuzzi brings to a team and since he has proved he can consistently put up 20 goal seasons and there aren't many players that can do both. That's why I wouldn't make this trade.

I do have a question for a buffalo fan. I noticed that he has been play wing quite a bit, Can he play center well enough to be a #2C in the NHL?

Take far more then just Kieffer Bellows, For Yzerman to retain $2,000,000 on Zach Parise for 4 more years. That's noway near enough.

He played center his whole career up until the last half of this season. That said when he moved to center this season his play actually got better and got on a hot streak. So it looks like he can, but it is still a small sample size.

If the Sabres are going to try and re-tool on the fly (which I hope they dont do), then I think this is a good trade. If the Sabres are going to blow it up and start over then I think they trade Sam for all futures.

Reinhart is a very consistent player he was mostly a winger because the Sabers needed at least one good line. When he centered before this year it was for a short time with bad coaches and players next to him. When he was centering the 1st line he's was good.

Reinhart is a natural centre and played phenomenal this season. Just another in the list of terrible asset management decisions Buffalo has made for like 5 years lol

If parise is going to the isles the wild should have to give up a 1st and a top prospect to the isles

Yeah I know a lot of people would that was just my opinion and honestly if Yzerman did this I wouldn't doubt that it would workout for the better because he hasn't given me a reason to doubt him.

Let me begin, I am a very biased Sabre fan.
Sam had his best career this year playing center most of the time.
IMO, if Sam is traded the trade will be similar to the Mantha trade:
A solid young NHL player (Bertuzzi)
First round pick (Caps 2021 would be identical)
Second round pick from 2021
A partial cap dump could be added to balance the salary.
As a center Sam has a little more value than Mantha, as a physical presence Mantha has a little more value than Sam. Let's call that a wash.
Their pts per game and goals per game are nearly identical over their careers.
Let me close, Sam has played in at least 69 games in every season but the last one and he only missed two games this season. Mantha on the other hand has only one season with at least 69 games.
This deal is at least a first round pick going to Buffalo, short of being fair.
So if you wish laugh send Richard Panik, Jakub Vrana, round 1 pick in the 2021 draft and round 2 pick in the 2022 draft for Sam rolling eyes

I don't think you read my post or mixed it up with someone else's. Go back and re-read what I said because if it were my choice I'd keep Bertuzzi. You can apologize to me when you are done rereading.
