    At that price, Carolina will re-sign him. The issue they have... is he wants 8 digits.

    Really, DougieH is looking for $10M?!.. Seems like a guy who'd sign for a bit less to be in a good position.

    Like a low tax haven cup contender with a small market so he's not under constant pressure.... such as Carolina?

    Yes like Carolina, I mean he seems like a guy who'd sign for a bit less at a number that starts with double digits to stay with the Canes.

    Odds are he stays in Carolina because it's where he's really taken that next step but.... it's not certain. Apparently Waddell and Hamilton are a fair distance apart in their negotiations.

    Waddell is known to be a stickler so it makes sense. Would’ve had major issues signing aho if that offer sheet didn’t come in. Going to be interesting what he does with Svech. I’d be curious to know what he’s asking for, if it’s over 10, I get why Waddell doesn’t want to do it. But we both know Waddell is probably lowballing the crap outta him.

    He also wouldn’t be under constant pressure here. Jets have a small market, while yes it’s a Canadian team, we don’t have a whole lot of media here. But to even get him to consider coming to Winnipeg Chevy would have to offer him like 7 years at 9.75 million. Would CAR be able to fit him in at like 8.5 million for 7 years? I imagine that’s where his number will end up being in CAR. Obviously some trades would need to be made, but I though they were in a worse spot cap wise.

    That's surprising, figured it'd be a pretty straight forward negotiation for both sides to get something done, I'm sure it'll get worked out and he'll remain with Carolina though, thanks for the update!

    The last report on his contract situation was that Hamilton wanted “Pietrangelo money” and CAR wants to pay “Krug money” for him. That was a few months ago though

    More then fair hes good but id say a soft top2 d, trouba dropped a 50 with the jets before his deal with nyr id give him that deal 8x7
