With AZ so cash strapped idk if they'd make that swap but by the same token they're desperate for big name players so uh... gosh their situation sucks rn... Confused

Pretty strictly the combination of age and term. I tend to agree with the fact that people overblow how poorly some players age, but 34 years old with 4 years left is a really tough pill to swallow

I agree, but if your Seattle you don't have to worry about money and Oshie is still extremely talented. He's also a great locker room guy who can be your captain for the next couple of years as you establish a winning culture.

To add on to that, this is a perfect Deryk Engelland type situation for Seattle. A hometown hero, a fan favorite, a locker room prescence, and a skilled player. Perfect for Seattle to gain some more popularity with more casual fans.
