Not really a blockbuster...more of a c*ckbuster since it's exchanging d**khead for d**khead

This trade is crap for us. Kuzy is garbage that I wouldn’t want on my team.

64% of US high school graduates have tried illegal drugs. Is the NHL slightly higher or lower than that? Anybody have a guess? The percentage of NHLers who have tried drugs and also, in a different year, have shown up late for a team meeting? I'm guessing it's about half. Like, if we count two seconds late? Probably half. Maybe more.

Okay. Now: the percentage of NHL players who go -5 in a single game and then attack a teammate in the locker room? Anybody? Buehler?

But my bigger concern here, as a Caps fan, is whether Chytil can play a middle six center role well enough to justify taking on a large cap dump and giving up a guy who, over the last four playoffs, is a top ten offensive center.

Kuznetsov is the next Tony D. On a worse Contract.

Buyer Beware.

DeAngelo, not necessarily on drugs, beat up his teammate.

Kuznetsov, quite possibly on drugs, angered Don Cherry by celebrating after scoring goals.

I can see how you would get the two confused. Wait. No. I can't.

He's had multiple suspensions for disciplinary issues over the past 2 Seasons. Goes beyond Don Cherry.

He was late to a meeting. He broke covid protocol to spend time with teammates. He tried drugs after leading the NHL in playoff points. He celebrated scoring goals by flapping his arms like a bird, because his three year old daughter asked him to. Basically the same as beating up a teammate, to Rangers fans, apparently.

Hey, speaking of beating up goalies, which Ranger was it that kicked Vanecek in the leg, to goad Wilson into paying a fine for beating up the whole team? Vanecek's season ended with a leg sprain early in his next start. Kelly Hrudey said that's probably just because he wasn't stretching enough...? Anyway, whoever that was, you should have him tutor Deangelo on how to recognize which jerseys say "Rangers." Even if he has to teach him to read. I think it'd be worth it.

Meanwhile, on Earth, I posted a trade of Deangelo, half retained, for a fourth line guy who beat up his own girlfriend. Ottawa fans all passed: https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/453043?post_id=2351638 Personally, I think there's less shame in fighting a professional athlete you are in a heated disagreement with than a woman you supposedly love. But, hey. Ottawa passed on Deangelo for Watson. Deangelo cannot be traded.

Wow, that really triggered you. Went in about 10 different directions with that rant.

Rangers Buy Out Deangelo in the Offseason for next to nothing. Avoid that Kuznetsov Contract. Look to boost Center Depth elsewhere.

Yeah. I'm beat. Good night. Anyway, stop trying to make a false equivalence between a guy who was -5 in one game and a guy who was late to a team meeting. And good luck finding a Russian-speaking all-star center to get the most value out of Panarin and Buchnevich, while maintaining this "rivalry."

Panarin has played his entire NHL Career without a Top Quality Russian speaking Center (I love Anisimov, but I am not including him as a huge difference maker for Panarin). Safe to say it hasn't really hindered his play all that much.
