They did not win purely off of goaltending though. They played great defence.

4-5 goals in 3 of the 4 games helped as well

Great series by the jets. The offence got better as the games went on but the defence and goaltending was great all season. Was a very close series but surprisingly the jets defence won them the series (both goaltenders played almost equally imo). Great series and was closer than the sweep entails.

They were all one goal games (the first one was save for 2 empty netters). Obviously scoring to keep up is going to help but it didn’t help the jest win the series, it helped them stay in the games. Timley goals, that’s what I mean. Their ability to score in OT did and their superb defensive game (I can believe I’m saying this) made all the difference.

Congrats to the Jets. The games were all close and exciting. The Jets probably have the best third line in all of the NHL, what a beast of a line! I am getting tired of saying maybe next year but that’s all I got for my Oilers again!

Unreal! I figured the Jets could beat the Oilers but didn't think they'd sweep them!

Now let's hope the Leafs/Habs series goes 7 games, doubtful but here's to hoping!!

Such a close series. It was awesome. The 3rd line is great, whenever they matched the scheifele line with Mcdavid I got super nervous.

I had the Oilers in 5. Congratulations for making me utterly wrong!!

The only drawback to this stunning (to me) victory is that we'll now be inundated with McDavid and Draisaitl trades on an even greater scale than the Eichel trades.

It was a great series overall. Great team defense, good physicality and great goaltending.

Hopefully the boys can get a nice break.

Yeah Jets proved a lot of people wrong. I know so many people who had Oilers in 5 or 6. Was such a close series.

Yeah I trashed them and I am glad I was proven wrong. Wheeler's game impressed me the most. Played like a captain and didn't take a trip to the penalty box.

McDavid destroyed you in the regular season so I thought that would happen in the playoffs
And the Jets were on a huge slump after the TDL

no like i went by whos goaltender i trusted more and hellebuyck was easily the choice over smith for a series regardless of a how a defense played

Fair. I still want to point out that goaltending was not the difference at all. Yes hellebuyck won the battle cause he won the games but both goaltenders were tasked equally and were both up to the challenge.
