You can get way better for Tom Wilson, not saying Nylander is bad by any means but Wilson is the best power foward in the league

If Ovechkin wanted $9,000,000 per he'd already be resigned by now. Try closer to 4 x $11,000,000 to 4 x $11,500,000 to resign Ovechkin.

Yikes. I know you're still hyped about last night, but maybe you should come down from that high just a little bit.

i think Nylander is the better player and i think Wilson value is perceived to be in the same ballpark as Nylander bc of what he adds plus his offensive upside. Personally i think Nylander is better but TML might be looking to make some big changes idk.... title said "i would be thrilled" not " what i think is realistic lol"

Add a middle six winger and a 3rd-ish round pick and the Oilers might take it

Your problem is having VV valued as a 2nd. Especially with the expansion draft the market is flooded with ok goalies. He's a 25 year old goalie with 1 year in the league and put up average-ish numbers playing on a high quality team. He has potential and a cheap cap hit but the Oilers would probably be more likely to re-sign Stalock than give up an asset for Vancek.

Im not sure what goalie prospects the Oilers have, so i hesistate to say this, but I dont see why the Oilers wouldn't go for this trade. Washington may need to add a slight bit more, but Edmonton gets a young starter caliber goalie to boot koskinen from the rotation, and vanacek only being 25 would be a good future goalie.

TBH the capitals defense is trash but hard to argue with your logic

Hopefully that changes next year with Fehervary and Alexeyev coming up, the defense could really do with some speed on D

Sounds like they are only willing to give Fehervary a chance to start the year. both would be my wet dream to start the year and move orlov to RS where he played his entire career b4 Washington. Even Mcmichael wont get a shot frown

Yeah, its so frustrating watching them sign random FAs instead of giving the prospects a chance and I feel this may happen again this year. Hopefully they can trade kuzy to free up space for McMichael

The Oilers 2 decent goalie prospects are Stuart Skinner and Ilya Konovalov. Skinner (22) struggled in the 1 NHL game he played but had a solid AHL season and was solid in the Pacific Division playoffs they did in the AHL (which Bakersfield won). Konovalov (23) has been in the KHL for 4 years now and has posted decent numbers (0.923) last season. The market is flooded with UFA goalies this year so I think the Oilers will either run their Smith/Koskinen tandem one more year or buy-out Koskinen and sign a UFA tandem goalie (Ullmark/Reimer/Mrazek/Bernier) to play with Smith and give another year to see what they have internally.

if I'm being honest i would rather them trade Eller.. bc his value will never be higher and at this point they would be trading Kuzy for pennies on the dollar (at least on this site.) Kuzy looked great to end the season scoring 16pin 20gp. i think he was finally getting use to Lavs system and then he got COVID again. with the virus slowly going away there should be nothing to hold him back lol

    run

    Ovechkin Backstrom Wilson
    Sprong Kuzy Mantha
    Sheary MCM Oshie
    AJF Dowd Hathaway

trade ELLer to Seattle to take Hags something like that

Dude, you do nothing but comment about how UFAs should get millions more than what they’re signed for in everybody’s ACGM pages. Why don’t you go talk about teams you actually know anything about? Jesus dude.
