Description

Basically you hope that the Jones's recover from their down years and step up to be a dominant 2nd pairing. If Klefbom is healthy, you still have 5 million to inject him back into the roster on third pair with Bouchard, in which case you have one of the best defenses in the NHL. If he isn't healthy, then you can use that cash to make a deal at the deadline. Deadline deal would probably be a third line centre if McLeod isn't getting done, or a third pairing defenceman if Russell is bad.

Yes you cannot add resigning as a condition to a conditional pick anymore. The NHLPA felt it was lowering player values.

Not getting Jones for that package. Not even close.
Hyman isn't coming to Edmonton. Even if he did, that contract would backfire so fast.
Everyone is down on Bear right now and rightfully so, but he's gonna become a really good player. Don't think the oilers will/or should move him.

connor brown starts with a 1st+. adding neal adds another 1st. not that we’re interested in trading him for futures anyway, we’re transitioning back to trying to be in the playoff race. and you’ll have to pay to dump kassian’s anchor of a contract lol, consensus seattle pick for edmonton is that they take jones
