Paul Byron got three games for charging from 10-15 feet away. This hit was 10 times worse.

Its heartbreaking that he was just starting to heat up this year and on his birthday, while scoring a GWG he gets a major concussion. I doubt he comes back until at least next year (he's already had one major concussion where he was stretchered off the ice during the 2018 Rookie Showcase). I understand why people are trying to defend Schiefele, but he made no attempt to go for the puck, he was upset about penalties and wanted to deck someone. Obviously it was much more severe than he was expecting as Evans was unconcious before he hit the ice but he's gotta be smarter. Heartbreaking.

First off I hope Evans is ok and recovers 100% but his season is over. Byron's hit was bad and caused an injury, he got 3 games and is not a repeat offender I don't think. The problem is the league sees Schiefele as a star player and another non-repeat offender. He should be gone for the rest of the series if not the playoffs, but the league won't want to give him more than 2 games since that will handy cap the Jets.

Yeah Scheifele was raging the whole game, even at the end of the 2nd he got into a little fight with Perry and a couple habs

I can’t speak for other markets but in COL it has definitely been talked about. DoPS is a joke. Schiefle made zero attempt to do anything but smoke Evan’s. I’ve never thought of Schiefle as dirty but that hit was a dude losing his mind and being predatory.
