Drouin will never play for the Habs again. He can't take the pressure in MTL being a Quebecer. Either way he is on LTIR and his cap space is available.

And why does Montreal or Drouin want to get his contract terminated? Drouin has been good for us, he's a great playmaker and would help to compliment our goal scorers, sure he lacks a bit defensively but it's not too bad

If he's on LTIR next year and not in counselling or rehab there needs to be a real investigation because then any player who doesn't"like their situation can claim that he seems like an immature spoiled brat

If he wishes to continue his hockey career and is not tradable thenby mutually agreeing to a terminated contract he become UFA and can try to revive his career.

Exactly. He was leading the team in assists when he went down. He played fewer games than these players and had roughly the same points as them -puljajurvi( who is playing with McDavid), Josh Anderson, Saad, Laine and Lafreniere. And yet, people treat him as if he is useless.

I have not watched many hand games this year however I have more in the past and saw everyone he played as a bolt.if you need other defensive linemates to get you to be considered meh defensively you aren't..
