No way in hell the Penguins accept that.

No need for Dermott, Mikheyev is just a depth forward, Brooks doesn't sniff the NHL roster.

I could see a framework of a deal around this value.

What can you tell me about Labanc? He seemed... off, so to speak, this season... cause I'm wondering if I could maybe create a few trade scenarios that could benefit SJ...

What role would he play well in, cause apart from the 18-19 season he's been kinda «meh»

His underlying numbers are great, just that our coaches (Deboer, Boughner) have been real hard on him and like to move him up and down the lineup if he messes up even slightly. If he had consistent line-mates he's easily a 50-60 point player. On Matthews/Marner's wing it wouldn't even be shocking to see him get to 70.

He is better than traditional stats suggest. His defense is awful of course but in transition and in the O zone hes a dominant player with passing ability and shooting potential. Could easily hit 60 points on a good team with a PP1 slot.

Well if 1 bad playoffs tanks his value that much then I guess you wouldn’t mind Matheson for Marner 50% retention, right? Lol

hey, if marner's value tanked that hard round here after 4 bad games, you gotta spread it around

That’s cute if you think Marner has only had 4 bad post season games. Marner is 32 career playoff games has a whopping 5 goals. Including being goalless the last 2 post seasons. Rust has more goals in his last 26 post season games. Rust also has more goals this post season and last post season.

well yes, in relation to what im talking about, his value around here has been tanked after 4 bad games. You can literally go back to games when the leafs were up 2-1 or 3-1 and see how his value around here has changed. As far as how bad marner has been in the post season compared to rust, he had more points both this year and last year despite how 'bad' he was.

Yet rust had more goals both years. It’s nice to live off other players scoring for you, but it’s more valuable to be able to score for themselves every once in a while. Especially for a guy like Marner. 10+ million for 4 pts and 0 goals or 3.5 million for 3 points and 2 goals. I’ll take Rust over Marner in the post season any day

yet Marner had more points. It's nice to live off Crosby, Malkin and Letang setting you up, but it's more valuable to be be a 100 point winger than a guy one of the best players of all time bounces pucks off.
Especially a guy like rust who is significantly older and past prime.
I'll take Marner in any season, regular or post over rust any day

Lol like Marner doesn’t have franchise players to live off of lol. That’s hysterical 😂. Hmmm Rust who has Crosby and Malkin to feed him pucks and he still has to do the work of scoring most of the time or Marner who feeds the puck to a guy that scores 40-50 goals a season and racks up his assists 🤔. Rust is better bang for his buck and that’s a fact.

Every scorer marner has played with has had career years.
Who was on crosby or malkins wing during their career years? Not rust.
And we're well beyond the actual point that either a bad season reduces value or it doesnt. So either marner and rust are available for full value or they are not. Take your pick

Ok cool. Counter offer. Matheson for Matthews and leafs retain 50%. Since it’s Marner making Matthews/Tavares and not the other way around.

I’ve never said Marner wouldn’t garner massive value outside of sarcasm here to reply to your Rust trolling lol. I mean capfriendly is full of trolls that probably don’t watch hockey outside of their team so they just see a troll agm of another team and then roll with it lol. And I haven’t really seen many pens fans troll Marner’s value outside of the one who did last year by saying Marner with 20-25% retention only nets the leafs Jack Johnson lol. But they got ripped by pens fans too.
