but if thats the case why go for an aging Dman who will be 39 at the end of his deal and costs over 5mill. I know the Dman selection in this years free agency is not all that great but there are options. Hamilton, Martinez, Murray, Oleksiak, Goligoski. Plus the trade markets probs got some better alternatives like Ekholm, Petterson, Graves, and so on

Never said it was logical for Holland to do this, in fact imo he’s almost guaranteed to lose the trade, unless Keith is retained and maybe comes with an asset
