They may be made by fans of those teams, but I can't see any of those teams accepting the deals.

Imagine giving up a 1st and your best d-prospect (a recent top10 pick) for a 3rd/4th line winger.... Most people agree that to dump Neals remaining 2 years, it'll cost in between a 1st or 2nd. Otherwise, the Oiler have no problem buying him out.

Posting a trade like that, weather you've read it somewhere or not, is pretty ridiculous. Like I don't think a single hockey fan would think thats fair value.

Think of it this way, it gets us above cap floor.
I doubt Trouba waives his NMC anyway.

That Rangers trade is crap for us. I’d rather just buy Trouba out than waste Nils and a 1st.

But Subban is $9M AAV and Trouba is $8M AAV. And he’s older. And you get an A+ prospect and a 1st for whatever reason…

It’s those 4 years that matter since Rangers are going to have to fit some large contracts in starting next summer.

    2021-22 (Buchnevich, Chytil, Shesterkin)
2022-23 (Fox, Zibanejad, Strome, Kakko, Kravtsov, Georgiev)
    2023-24 (Lafreniere, Jones, Miller)
    2024-25 (Lindgren, Lundkvist, Schneider)
    2025-26
