I wouldn’t blow up the third line. The Thompson, Apslund, Mittelstadt line was probably the most consistent group the Sabres had all last season. Seattle should want Colin Miller without needing a player in addition, but if they want something extra hand them one of the extra picks we got at the trade deadline. Palmeiri isn’t signing here, which is OK because you can use Nolan Patrick as a winger.

I kinda doubt Reinhart resigns long term with Sabres.
Yea that is an interesting Ducks trade. Pros and cons for both sides. Do Ducks want to give 3rd overall, as tradeoff for getting rid of Henrique at 5.8m X 3.

CD’s rights are worth more than a 6th especially because multiple teams will be interested

The ducks do that deal in a heartbeat.

Getting the rights for CD could turn FA into a bidding war

Yeah, I can understand why a Buffalo scribe would want Anaheim to trade a #1 LW and the third overall pick in this year's draft for Eichel before anyone finds out whether he can ever play hockey again. Me, I think everyone can wait until the halfway point of the season until deciding whether to make a franchise-changing trade.
