For Jack Eichel? Sure they do. The Shaw contract and the 1st are a wash, so you're saying you wouldn't trade a 2nd pairing defenseman, a decent young winger, and an unproven 20 year old for a top 5 center in the league for the next 10 years?

All trades make some level of sense so nice work. Can GMKA get all this done in one offseason? I doubt it but weaponizing cap space and rebuilding is absolutely the right plan. Now let's all wait and watch them do the exact opposite...

No, no they dont. Dach is on an ELC still and looks fantastic. Eichel is making 10M, why wpuld Chicago want to tie up 31M in 3 players? Also Eichel is not a top 5 center, and ia currently quite damaged.

From a Blackhawks fan perspective, I'd take the proposed trade in a second. However I see that you have Shaw in the line-up. You do know that he's done, right? Too many concussions. If I'm Buffalo, I swap out Shaw's contract and De Haan for Kubelik and one of the young defensemen (Boqvist, Mitchell, Beaudoin or Kalenyk).
