With the whole Kaprizov going back to back to Russia talk, even thinking of trading him would be dumb

I like the question but with Kaprizov unsigned and likely to be making close to 9 on a bridge, I’m not so quick to say the Wild say no.

If he resigns in Russia then it’s a pretty quick trade for MIN IMO. But the latest news is a pretty crude attempt to force the team’s hand.

Just asking a question…
When you consider the value of Nylander’s contract and the apparent risk with Kaprizov…I don’t think it’s quite the slam dunk no for the Wild as you think it is…
For the record, I agree it’s a no, but I think it’s worth thinking about

Zero chance at 9 million per after 1 season! Perhaps in Russsia will get paid that but no nhl gm would after 1 season

I'm a fan of Nylander and his friendly contract. But there's no way the Wild will trade the Calder winner after so many years in the wilderness. Even 3 years at 8.5M is worth keeping him

I think if kaprizov makes it abundantly clear he’s only going to stay here as long as he has to and then haul as for a New York or somewhere it would make some sense to do a sign and trade before he can get hurt or lose Value. And I think that value would be in the neighborhood of what eichel gets or more. However I think in that scenario Toronto would add heavily.

The Wild say no in a heartbeat. That said, if you think the Wild should trade him because he doesn't want to be here, he should be traded for a younger package, not a guy like Nylander who's 25, has three years on his contract and is going to be a UFA after that.
