Maybe Tkachuk, 1st round pick, and Connor Zary

I think the Sabres probably prefer a prospect vs Dube, but I think this is a very fair offer. Flames get their no. 1 center. I think both teams say yes.

This seems like the tightest Eichel return yet ✔

Just gonna throw this out there but...

MTkachuk is one of the few assets

Where you can reasonably argue

A team should include assets *with* eichel for him awesome face

Take out Dube and add conditional pick based Eichel GP.
2023 1st if he plays next year, 2023 2nd if plays only some, 2023 3rd if he is hurt for next season.
Something like that.

I was thinking of Zary over Dube but figured the flames would value Zary over Dube.

Why do you say no? Rumors are speculating Tkachuk wants out and your only giving up 13 OV and a middle tier prospect for a top 5 center who is only 24.

Much better off converting Gaudreau/Monahan to picks/prospects and then building a big package like:

Dube + Zary + 1st + 1st + 2nd + 3rd

Trading Tkachuk would be a big time screwup for CGY going forward.

Those rumours are 100% fake, also eichel might miss all of next season so I don’t want to give up tkachuk if that’s the case

Doesn't he want to be traded? I've seen a few rumors as of late saying he wants out.

That rumor came from a guy who has never broken hockey news. He pieced it together and then spewed it, getting a bunch of attention for his new podcast.

That said, the concept of Tkachuk having all the cards to choose his future is 100% accurate. I just think he will be in CGY for awhile yet. Likely team captain starting this year.
