Saros just 25 and will get vezina votes for this year

He has the exact same career sv% as Vasilevskiy

He'll get 5M+ in arbitration easy; maybe more

On what planet does COL ship Kadri to a division rival, retain money all for the low low price of a middle of the round 2nd rd pick. Forget the fact that COL is a cup contender and trading their 2C? This is just ridiculous.

Ok the Kadri proposal makes no sense for either side, but you can't possibly be upset about the Isles getting all that for dumping Bailey.

Getting all that???? Retaining 2.5 for 3 years in a cap crunch plus taking on johansens 8mil for (how many 3?) years. Bailey has around neutral to positive value rn (maybe a late round pick in return) and johansen certainly does not. I wouldnt take all that for free forget about having to find a RW2 for 2.5mil (to not take more money on for that position. Plus the 2nd being in 2023 makes that value go down. All in all making this trade is a fireable offense from the islanders pov.

Well say we were to be to quite generous in NTI's favour with the player valuations. Let's say Bailey with retention is worth a 3rd, and it would take as much as a 2nd and Farrance to dump Johansen. The Isles are still getting two good role players on cheap contracts and a 4th on top of all that.

Obviously the Isles have some cap problems with more than their share of not great contracts right now, but you can't deny their getting way too much value in the OP's proposal.

Bailey at 2.5 is worth a lot more than a 3rd and it will cost a lot more to move johansen lmao. I know youre living in fantasy world where your team fleeces every other team but thats not how reality works. In the flat cap era moving 8mil x 3years is gonna cost a hell of a lot. Plus in what world are the islanders a team to move cap to? The fact that you think nashville is overpaying is mind boggling and i think you should go check out what other parts of your hockey evaluations desperately need help.

The rest of what you wrote comes across as a little hostile, but I do agree with the bolded part. Good debate.
