You're not clearing 7M in cap without giving up a future asset or taking cap back. The Wings maybe being able to get something for Leddy at the deadline isn't nearly enough incentive for them to do this

The Rangers and Islanders have made exactly 1 trade in the past 48 years. We will not be helping you with your salary cap problems.

Again like the title and description say, these are all trades proposed by fans of the other team (for example: the rangers, or the red wings). This isnt what i think will happen but thats the premise.

Bellows or Eberle or Leddy would easily get taken by Seattle over MDC. Way too much term for Cizikas, too much term and money for Sorokin. Bad trade to Detroit, too much salary going their way. Split those trades up, Hickey and a fourth and a bad prospect and then Leddy for picks.. I don’t think it’s necessary or likely Leddy goes. Rangers and Islanders don’t trade with eachother, and itll be harder to get rid of komarov. Lee is miles better than Beauvillier, why tf is he on the second line? If a third line right winger is being signed for 4.5 million dollars, it’s going to be Palmieri, not Coleman or anyone else. I think Bellows, MDC get that 3 LW over acquiring Janmark. Why is Andy Greene on IR? And his performance bonuses from 2020-2021 will count 2 million dollars to the cap, and I think Greene signs for less, .8-1.5. Pelech could get anywhere from 4.5-6.25. And Salo hasn’t proved he can be an NHLer, Bolduc likely would be 7th D.

    1. Bellows is protected in my scenario and leddy and eberle have been traded.
    2. If you read the description it clearly says that caseys contract is what staple said it would look like, thats not my idea.
    3. I wanted to lock up sorokin long term and had the cap to make it work, dont know whats wrong with trying to sign your goalie of the future to a big deal.
    4. Like i said in the desription (which you obviously didnt read, or just blatantly disregarded) and the title, none of these trades are mine. They were all proposed by fans of the other teams (a detroit fan for example proposed the red wings trade).
    5. Just bc someones has more talent than someone else doesnt mean the fit is right. For a long time ive wanted a beai anders switch and in this scenario it makes sense. Barzal needs a winger who he can play with in transition and theres no one better on the isles than beau. Hes also solid defensively, something which lee is definitely not. Theres also the alleged beau-barzal chemistry and the lee-bailey chemistry so you put both together but idk how real that is or ever was, or if its still there after not playing together for so long.
    6. See point 5. Sometimes certain people are a better fit than others. I was trying to create a tampa like 3rd line, hard on the forecheck, stout defensively, physical, and all in all a real **** to play against. Its why i got coleman and janmark although you can substitute goodrow for janmark if you want.
    7. Greene is signed for 1x2mil and is on ir bc just like you said he has a performance bonus that counts against the cap which is 1x2mil. Andy greene isnt on this team just his bonus is.
    8. See points 2, and 4, about reading the description in terms of pelech.
    9. If every player needs to prove before he plays, that he could play in the nhl no prospect would ever play bc theyve never proven it. Either way LD3 and 7D could be any mix of aho, salo, and bolduc. Just picked that order bc i thought it made the most sense.
    10. After going through everything you wrote i think theres a misconception that you have, not every acgm is about what you think will happen. Some are about what you want to happen.

I’m saying I disagree with Friedman, signing Sorokin long term, and the deals that other idiots are making. Wtf do you mean about prospects proving themselves? How many North American games has Salo played? Ridiculous just to plug him in for a roster spot. Wahlstrom proved himself this year, Dobson the year before, Sorokin this year. That’s how you prove yourself, get sheltered minutes, but make them count.

How many NA games did sorokin play before this year? And how dud he prove himself? He got a chance to play and it only took him 1 scheduled start to prove he could play at a high level. How did dobson or wahlstrom prove they could play? Bc they got chances to play and showed they were good enough.
You can disagree with staple all you want but i know who im going with if i had to pick (hint, its not you).
Unless youre signing a 1 year deal which sorokin isnt, giving him a bridge and walking him right to fa is a dumb idea.

I read it, and it doesn't change my stance. Lou just might give him a contract like that, but if he does, expect Varlamov getting sent out.

Lee is not miles better than Beauvillier, Beauvillier is slightly better in overall impact.

Salo is a much better prospect than Bolduc and he turns 23 in October. He just dominated in the 4th best league in the world, he not only has a better chance of being an NHLer, but he has a significantly higher star % than Bolduc.

Would love to see this team in action, nice prospect pool, I think dal colle can still be of use to us and if Bailey goes to Seattle instead, it would free up more cap space

Agreed. I think mdc can still be of use but we're losing someone and bailey is needed imo. We dont have a lot of good passers on the team and with brock and lee i think we need him on that line.
