Description
We need our young guns to grow and we need top 6 help so we trade drouin to STL for Tarasenko and other assets and we also trade Chiarot and Kulak for Cap relief let Armia,Tatar,Staal,Danault walk trade for Dunn and lock him up sign janmark as a replacement for Danault and sign Saad for scoring depth sign some healthy scratches in case of injury and i think this team will make the play

If MTL didn't use Mete I am hard pressed to imagine they ever use Dunn properly

St Louis declines both the Tarasenko and Dunn deals. Doug Armstrong wants a 1st round pick for Dunn and Drouin as a main piece doesn't get Tarasenko.

That seems like an overpay for a guy who has had serious shoulder issues and as openly asked to be traded. Don’t think STL has that much leverage. They take that offer and run

Why would they not accept the Tarasenko deal?? That seems that a massive overpay for a guy who clearly wants out of STL and has had shoulder issues

I’d be surprised to see getzlaf sign a deal like that in montreal. I doubt anyone in the NHL really thinks that montreal is a cup contender moving forward.

Both players are in the same situation they want out of their organization Drouin is worth like a 2nd rounder and they’re getting bassically two 1s rounders a 2 second rounders and it’s not like STL is rebuilding they want a top 6 to replace Tarasenko and Drouin will do great in STL

if we get tarasenko we’re at least hopeful for the playoffs and if our young guys step up and everyone plays up to they’re contracts their contenders

Perhaps, But the Dunn deal is in noway fair for St Louis. Other GMs would beat that offer.

Not terrible since they’re likely losing him to expansion but I do think other teams will pony up a first. I would want the canes to if they didn’t have their own ExD issues defensively.
