Oleksiak dube and bernier all get around 1 million more, and florida matches that pretty quickly.

I mean Everything comes down to how good of a talker and a negotiator dubas is. If he gets creative he could talk Bernier into taking a salary cut to come back to Toronto and potentially have a better chance of winning a cup. Detroit won’t be good for at least three years . Oleksiak takes less for more term t again come to a great team! To be honest I might be only 500k short on oleksiak and dube .

They just don’t need him at all. All of their RHD are more offensively inclined, so they need the left side to be more responsible stay at home type. Plus Rielly wouldn’t have a spot on their PP, which kid where he’s most valuable. Plenty of teams where he’d make sense, the Rangers just aren’t one of them

Ok so maybe a bad judgment call for the rangers . But a team would take him . I just made the trade for a salary dump! What do you think of the team though?

I swear if leafs even thing about that Calgary trade. Giving up our overpaid top winger for a player that will be overpaid when his contract is up and need a new one. On top of that a 1st and our top D prospect (if you don't count sandin as a prospect anymore) and kerfoot.

And 8 million for hall? Lol

Guys aren’t taking pay cuts to come to Toronto. If they want to take a cut to go to a true contender they’ll do it but saying guys will take a cut bc they have a good shot at winning a cup in Toronto is laughable, try winning a series first.

flames deal isn’t realistic and Tkachuk isn’t going anywhere. Hall doesn’t want to sign in Toronto. I know reports say they’re interested in him but that doesn’t make it a two way street. Florida easily matches that offer and realistically Bennet doesn’t even sign it.

I don’t think a 1st and 3rd is too high for Reilly, it is however too much for us to pay. Another team who could resign him will pay that price tag but we won’t have room for him while needing to sign, Zibby, fox, Laf, Miller, Kakko, Kravs, nils, Chytil, shesty, etc. Just too many raises in our future. Reilly back to form would be our 2nd best offensive Dman however and as a TDL move would work or even for a 2nd & 3rd would work, prospect and 2nd type deal. That’s my insight. But you can get more for him elsewhere

Marner is a very good player but it’s not just about how good a player is when they’re getting paid that much. Tkachuk is more valuable than Marner at that cap hit and Calgary wouldn’t want to bring Marner in bc it constricts them on what else they can do. Why would they want to add in Dube? Kerfoot is an overpaid third liner..just none of it makes sense.

I'm too the point that I'm going to call Doug Wilson and beg him to trade for Engvall just so we dont have to see this anymore.
