That Boston one is actually kind of interesting, since you're taking back Wagner and Moore and retaining half so that the cap hits remain basically the exact same for both teams. Only question is how good is Subban now? Haven't watched in him much in quite a while.

No one even took Merkley on waivers, and sharks need more offensive depth, not defensive.

Player has to be under contract in 21-22 season. Murray is s UFA, unless they sign, then trade this wont work

He's a decent top 4 dman. Not worth 9M obviously but 4.5M is a reasonable contract. But to be honest, this trade wouldn't help either team. Boston doesn't need RHD and Subban would be worth more to the Devils than this package. I think both teams decline

Did anyone have a contract spot for Merkley?

So what’s the plan for boston? Trade for 4.5 mill pk subban to play third pair RD?

Doubt the Sharks do that trade

Or...

Carlo could play 3rd pair where he's most suited

Having players overqualified for their position ftw

Especially while going for a cup naturally

No need to be so rigid 🙄

Absolutely atrocious title

😠

Because this is all so sane and sound and pragmatic!

awesome face

Legit tho it's very well done and articulated and better than most AGMs here: if these are considered 'crazy' around here then I don't wanna know what's 'sane'

I really like the Boston trade especially

Good stuff 👍

Prefer having Carlo on the 2nd pair than Subban and prefer not having Subban on the team at all.

Noone in the history of the universe has been more capable than PK subban to switch sides on D especially now that he's an experienced veteran

Also:

Pairing =/= toi and role

Seattle gets a window to sign free agents and if they do that player becomes their selection for the expansion draft, so yes this is possible.

because he is in need of a change of scenery, not because SJ needs D, they put a D on the block too.

Merkley worth 0
Butcher less than 0.

Labanc = worth a first plus a prospect

I dont understand why guys who have cleared waivers because no one wants them all the sudden have tremendous value on the trade market. This seems to be a Eastern time zone thing.

You west coast fans seem to forget that this season teams were being respectful of waivers and letting them go. It was abnormal. The shark fans on here are fighting with everyone and are over valuing what they have. Also I wrote that I don’t know his value but he’s making 4 million on a team with two D making a quarter of the salary cap that is not going up.

Great value on the Boston trade, but our RH side is filled.

Our salary cap situation doesn’t affect our players value.

It does when you need to make additional moves to remain relevant.

If the sharks continue with two D making a quarter of the salary cap resigning RFAs will become difficult. Getting younger and spreading assets counter acts your cap situation. Values are reduced when a move HAS to be done.

Again, I don’t know where Lebanc value really is. It was a suggestion.

He's coming to SJ, but in exchange for an RFA AHL D who wasn't even going to be qualified.
