Got it...for some reason I thought Mitchell was on the move.
And saw in previous ACGM that Hawks liked Boqvist to Chicago for 2nd pick.
So, I kinda just mashed those two thoughts together.
Will keep looking. Thanks guys.
The Blackhawks have 3 RHD prospects they are developing; Boqvist, Mitchell and Regula in that order of value. If the hawks were to get Jones or Hamilton as the top line RHD, then in theory that makes Mitchell disposable as good trade value as it would be Jones/Hamilton, Boqvist, Regula for the future. However, if the Hawks don't bring in a top line RHD then Mitchell is very unlikely to be going anywhere. He was a 2nd round draft pick, became one of the top defensive prospects out of the NCAA following his draft two years in a row, struggled a bit as a rookie but is highly prized as a future #3 or #4 defensive player.
All that said, the Hawks have incredible depth at the forward for center and wingers outside of the top 6. Jesper, at this point is a 3rd line winger. Hawks are going to have to trade and or not re-sign some of their 3rd line wingers because of the depth they have at that position. If Jesper was a bonafide top 6 winger or at least bonafide future top 6 winger, maybe there is a trade but to me at least, I'm not sure Jesper will be more then a 3rd line winger. Similar situation we have with Alex Nylander and Philip Kurashev, Brandon Hagel, Vinnie Hinostroza, Lucas Reichel, etc.....you get the point.
