Then you go on to propose that Colorado, a competitive team, takes on this horrible contract, and gives up a massive haul with a high end NHL d man, and an elite prospect going the other way, along with other assets? Get real.

I literally threw this together pretty quick. Price is worth differs team to team. I think he'd be worth a lot more to a team like the Avs instead of the Kraken. Much like Ovechkin is worth a lot more to the Caps instead of the Kraken.

The contract is indeed terrible but there's no goalie like Price available despite his recent struggles in the regular season. A proven playoff performer like him with his pedigree is worthwhile otherwise a team like the Kraken wouldnt even be discussing such an anchor contract

I wont justify the trade because its a massive ask and if I'm a sane Joe Sakic, I probably don't do it but it isnt a bad idea in general when you have a Sam Girard that's worth is certainly overvalued with 2 legit top4 LD in Byram and Toews. Not to mention his struggles in the playoffs. He cost them that series vs the Knights with a dozen goals against with him on the ice.

Looking at the trade in a vacuum it looks terrible and i had absolutely nothing to work with here with the troll replies.
