Potential TDL

Created by: Ducksfan93
Team: 2016-17 Anaheim Ducks
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 15, 2017
Published: Feb. 15, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I have seen a lot of people on here quick to trade Bernier and his salary cap hit for a draft pick. I would keep him on this roster in order to protect for an injury to Gibby.
Trades
1.
COL
  1. Vatanen, Sami
  2. Welinski, Andy
  3. 2017 1st round pick (ANA)
2.
ANA
  1. 2018 7th round pick (ARI)
3.
ANA
  1. Boyle, Brian ($1,000,000 retained)
TBL
  1. 2017 2nd round pick (ANA)
  2. 2018 5th round pick (ANA)
Additional Details:
Ducks would have to throw in an additional pick to get them to retain 50% of Boyle's salary. Also, he add additional depth pending the suspension of Vermette. I know it is more likely he gets 10 games. But Boyle is a goot PK guy and plays well in the playoffs.

Keep Boll, he helps us meet the requirements for the draft without exposing someone we don't want to lose. Also no need to trade for Boyle, we will be fine with out Vermette for a few games.

I agree with this, i can't stand that addition of Boll in the off season. If he isnt traded the way you did it i think hes put through waivers. Also, even though that Shaw is on the line with Kelser i can't stand it because of how bad shaw is. He isnt top 6. I honestly wouldn't mind acquiring another top 6 RW as well.

Schenn & Mason for Bernier / Vatanen / 3rd?

Flyers could use a goalie if they don't plan to keep Mase and need a RHD. Schenn is one of our leading scorers and leads the league in Powerplay goals. Mase provides solid backup for Gibson in the playoffs and has experience.

You better be sending over a first and a few other things. Schenn is garbage. You are so biased, it is scary. You believe Schenn is as good as Duchene... Trading Schenn does not fetch you Vatanen, it fetches Bieksa, that's how good he is.

Mason is average, I feel better with Bernier in net then I would Mason. Plus, it would cost us more to get Mason, not worth that trade at all.

Too much for Landy IMO. Ducks couldn't get a top 4 D for Ryan. You might be able to make an argument for Vats and a first using the Carter trade to LA but Carter IMO was considered to be a better player than Landy. He arguably still is. I don't think they Col would have much use for Welinski anyway so it's not really adding value for them. Vats, Nattinen, JB and a second for Duchene

Bahahahaha "Schenn is garbage". Schenn has been put on C where he hasn't played in 2-3 years. If Schenn was playing with Giroux/Voracek, he would be having an even better year then the 50+ points he is still on pace for. I don't think anyone has said he is = to Duchene.

You overvalued Landeskog (no way he gets that and a first rounder), and your lines need a lot of work. If you're gonna make a trade for a forward, at least put the Kesler line back together. Maybe try:

Landy - Getz - Rakell (Getz and Rakell worked well together before, and Rickard is right handed, so it could bump up his assists)
Cogs - Kes - Silfvy (Nothing gets through these guys)
Boyle - Vermy - Perry (The third line could actually be an offensive threat finally)
Ritchie - Thompson - Shaw/Kase (Ritchie, Thompson and Shaw would be a very physical line, with Ritchie giving them an offensive boost as well. Kase could be swapped out if the team needs a bit more production)

Fowler - Manson (Fowler belongs on the top line, and its always good to have a shutdown guy like Manson to back up when Cam is making plays)
Lindholm - Montour (The best shutdown guy with the rookie offensive d-man is a good balance)
Theodore - Bieksa (Bieksa does not belong on the top line. He's been pretty bad this year, but can at least maintain a physical presence)
