Trade some 11 million dollar contracts

Team: 2021-22 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 28, 2021
Published: Jul. 31, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Getting Rid of 2 11 million dollar contracts is the best thing that could happen to this team. No team can have three forwards making 33 million dollars total.

The Blue Jackets need a first line center until Kent Johnson develops into the first line center and Tavares can be your second line center until his contract expires.

Andrei Svechnikov is criminally underrated and is only 21. The leafs can also get him on a better contract than Marner. They could also try a bridge deal like Point and give him a bigger contract later.

Getting a third line. You need to have a good third line if you want to win, whether it's your shutdown line or a depth scoring line. Jenner, Hintz, and Duclair are all players that can play on your power play and on your penalty kill.

Nylander: William Nylander is a player that can be on your first line and your first power play. He put up good numbers in the playoffs this year when nobody else could put up the numbers.

Galchenyuk: played well in both the playoffs and the regular season. In the regular season he put up 12 points in 26 games as a leaf and can improve in the next season.

Hertl: He was the heart and soul of the Sharks this year and put up good numbers with 43 points in 50 games. He would be a great second line center who is on a one year contract and will get a bigger extension at the end of the year.

Perron: He's a good second line winger that has 1 year on his contract making 4 million dollars this year. At the end of the year the leafs offer him 4 million dollars again for 2 years.

At the end of this last playoffs everyone said that the team looked good on paper. Did Montreal look good on paper? HELL NO! They relied on hard work every second of the game, on the penalty kill in praticular they demolished every team.

That hintz trade is beyond bad. I wouldn’t trade Svech for Marner straight up. All around poor effort

Columbus isn’t trading Bjorkstrand, he is their best player and just signed a long term extension to stay in Columbus, but that doesn’t matter as Tavares isn’t waiving his full no movement clause for Columbus.

Also Jenner just signed an extension and loves Columbus, doubtful jarmo trades their next captain.

Blues hang up the phone and block your number. You want Perron who was a point per game on a tremendous contract for a bottom six forward and a prospect who is getting too old to be a prospect and if you have to ask who is which that tells you a lot

This is so comically bad it's gorgeous. And for all the larceny done here (in both directions, mind you), that defense has 1st round exit written all over it.

How do you give Florida 6 picks in the first 3 rounds but not one of them is a 1st rounder? You have to tighten that package up and give something of value if you're going to take two top6 players from the contending Panthers. Right now, these offers look just sad.
