Description

Burns is willing to waive to WPG to rejoin Dillon and DeMelo. WPG saves ~2mil in cap if Pionk gets 6mil with Burns replacing Pionk as the RH-shot.

This makes sense if WPG negotiations with Pionk, which have stalled, continue to stall and sour and Pionk doesn't like playing in WPG.

WPG trade is really bad for SJ, and Burns will never waive to move to Winnipeg.

It gonna lie, I’m not a big fan of the Burns deal. You could probably trade him to a team who would want him (he could still put up a decent couple of seasons) and not have to trade as much. You could probably get more for him than Pionk as well.

How do we rebuild, genius? All you keyboard warriors here say "rebuild" but that is not possible with NMC and NTCs on high dollar contracts. So please, advise us on how this is possible.

I didn’t say retool I said rebuild, nothing wrong with keeping the old guys and moving who you can for futures. Couture, Hertl, Kane maybe Lebanc. Retain if you have to. Keep your prospects.
