i think it would be better to play olofsson with benn and radulov so you pair the sniper with the pwf and playmaker to get him better as he is a really good underated sniper

I’ve edited it. It could be a good idea since Gurianov is just an as good of a sniper as Olofsson, and parring two snipers together could cause some problems.

Sabres are not looking to move him and he is under control for 3 more years so my guess would be a first plus.

I like him, he has good hands and a great shot. I think hes on the team until the deadline at least, nobody expects the sabres to win, but their offense is going to be crazy bad, and they need somebody who can score. I would say a late first at the deadline- any less and its better to keep him.

Olofsson is one year removed from a 65-point pace over a full 82-game season; and that's while playing on an atrociously bad Buffalo team (sorry Sabres fans). Looking at what Buffalo got for Reinhart, Olofsson's age, & his contract control, I don't see them entertaining offers on Olofsson unless they are getting at least a late 1st + mid-tier prospect in return

What would you consider a mid tier prospect?

First few that come to mind are Riley Damiani, Adam Mascherin, Antonio Stranges, & Jacob Peterson (who quietly had a phenomenal year in the SHL).

Dallas doesn't have a ton of "mid-tier" prospects. You've got guys like Bourque, Harley, Dellandrea, and Stankoven as higher end prospects, a small number of what I'd consider mid-tier prospects, and then a ton of guys like Tufte, Caamano, Gardner, Kawaguchi, Oksentyuk, etc. as guys that COULD carve out a bottom-6 role at the NHL someday, but currently don't have any kind of true career staying power at the NHL level.

This only works if the Stars are putting him on their 1st PP unit. He really only scores on the PP, he's replacement level at 5v5.

I’d be on board to do Peterson + 2022 1st, but that’s the farthest I’d go.

Between all the prospects you named I’d rather keep Damiani first, then Mascherin, then Stranges, and lastly Peterson. The 3 first have offensive upside with Damiani being the playmaker, Mascherin being the sniper, and Stranges is a jack of all trades. Then there’s Peterson who’s described as a two way forward, like we need any more of those, we already have 3 of the same player who’re all two way forwards (Dellandrea, Bourque, Johnston).

Yeah, I should have looked more at his advanced metrics before commenting. I really wouldn't be keen to even give up a 1st for him. If he can translate his PP production to 5v5 then I'd be on board, but as of now, I don't think I'd make a move for him.
