Yeah Gavrikov would be a good fit, he should be Dobsons partner though. Continuing to saddle Dobson with Andy Greene will stifle his development.

Seems like a lot for Gavrikov but I was super impressed with him in the 2020 playoffs. I'd probably do it.

First felt like a little much but he is locked up for two seasons so it's not a complete rental - could keep him around beyond that contract. Also, it's probably not a ton of negative value but you are paying a smidge for CBJ to take back Hickey (who they would probably need to play regularly)

It's not the value, I think that's fair. It's not having a 1st round pick three years in a row. I'm okay with it for the right guy, and I think Gavrikov could be a good fit, but I'd consider holding that unless it's for Tarasenko, Rielly, or Ekholm. Maybe Forsberg too.

I wouldn’t give up a 1st for Tarasenko, Rielly or Ekholm. Tarasenko is damaged goods, Rielly would struggle to adapt in this system, and Ekholm is a rental. Obviously Ekholm is a bigger name than Gavrikov, but there’s not much of a difference in their overall impacts in the last two years, plus Gavrikov has 2 years left on his contract. I would rather not give up a 1st, but I wouldn’t mind it because he’s not a rental. Depending on CBj view of Bolduc, I’d rather do Bolduc + two 2nds for Gavrikov and keep Hickey + 1st.

Your deal feels like it's a lot more expensive than mine. Maybe that's because I'm a big fan of Bolduc

I see Bolduc as a a #4 D at best, I actually think it makes sense to sell high on him now. Salo has more upside and 2022 is a strong draft, I’d rather not part with the 1st.

Lol that’s a good point, I’m still salty that Lou selected Holmstrom over Tomasino.

I think I’d still prefer to include Bolduc over the 1st though. With Gavrikov on the team there won’t be enough room for Bolduc and Salo

I don't think the Jackets would have much interest in Bolduc instead of the 1st.
