No he’s not. Bjorkstrand is signed for 5 more years at a super good deal. Reilly is a rental defenseman who is looking at a major pay day. This isn’t close. Bjorkstrand careied our offense all year long on both sides of the puck.
This trade is a non starter for Columbus.

Now that’s an interesting argument. Not to Columbus but to a contender as a rental, your probably getting a good prospect and a first.
We can all agree Stan bowman completely dropped the ball and massively overpaid. That shouldn’t be the standard, the risto trade is a much better spot. A high first and a smaller add. So a good prospect and a first (lower) is a good spot to put Reilly a better player. You could flip those assets for players if the leafs are going for it but that’s about what I’d expect.

Even if it's for CBJ to flip Rielly ultimately it doesn't work at all as they have an abysmal offensive core and PP unit so his numbers would plummet

Not to mention CBJ will be really bad next year and that can easily have a very negative impact on the trade value of non elite players

Bjorkstrand is a huge asset meanwhile and even the best case scenario for a Rielly return isn't 1/2 of his value, especially given the two 2nds they added

Spezza isn't playing center, especially on the 3rd line. This is why they got Kampf to be the shutdown center. Spezza is way to old to play center and has never been known for his defensive skills.
