We are even more in need of centers than the Rangers, KK is not going anywhere unless it's an upgrade at center.

That is how important KK is to Montreal as well so you can forget trying to get KK cause unless you are giving up something that UPGRADES our centers (which you don't have) or are willing to trade Fox you are not getting KK

Why don't we, and hear me out here, just wait for like a year for Barron and Chytil to develop like a little more. That way we can keep our two best defensive prospects, our picks, and othmann. Not like montreal accept the trade either way.

The list of players on the Rangers that the habs would give up Kotkaniemi to get: Lafrenière and Fox

We have no one else in the organization with even the potential to become a 2C. The only way we’d give up KK is if we’re getting back a 1C that we can afford.

Now they cannot because of the offersheet. Before he signed it (when I made this post) they could have traded his rights.
