Description

A lot to give up for Hertl, but you have him for 6 season's if you think that's feasible. Within the cap this year, but you will probably have to move 2 of these 3 players (Zuccarello, Fiala, Dumba) to create cap room for 2022. Having only 6.1M of cap space for 6-7 players with 16 players signed figuring in Hertls 7.5M for 2022. Plus the forward depth might be thin for 2021 with Greenway and Rask being traded. Putting pressure on some young players to step up.

No... I love Hertl but he's not worth Boldy.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, cap needs to be going back to San Jose in order for any trade to work.

I guess it depends what you think of boldy. Hertl is a giod player, hed be a good add. Good luck moving Rask, even for free.

Wild and San Jose won’t be good trade partners right now. Hertl will require a lot and then his cap hit would hurt you guys after this season.

I don't see Guerin giving up Boldy in a Hertl deal. Hertl is awesome, but playing on 2 rebuilt knees, so a five year extension is actually a bit scary with him since he could go down hill fast when he starts to go.
I think a package of:
pick 2 of Khusnutdinov, Khovanov, Beckman, Firstov, O'Rourke, Hunt, Peart.
Then a 1st
Rask
The two prospects would depend on how much of Rasks remaining 4 million for 1 year the Sharks would be willing to take on.

They might be if Sharks go into full rebuild mode. They may take shorter term bad money on in return for prospects and picks. Of course Doug will probably have to move out a few contracts himself.
