more than what they get from any other team do not expect to get a Zegras,Drysdale, Byfield, Lafreniere, Kappo, or any of OTTs core because none of these teams will part with one for Eichel.

Good thing he’s under team control for 5 more years.

best to take best deal now than lose him to UFA or trade him for pennies on the dollar at the TDL on his last year of contract when he has his NMC.

That’s still five years away. Their next pressure point is July 1st 2022 when his NMC comes In.

hes also poorly handled damaged goods.

no team is losing zegras, byfield, laf, stutzle etc type kids.

OTT here is offering EB which is better than most teams, probably one of the best available. I still think OTT needs 1 quality add here but BUF hasnt handled this situation correctly to get top end prospects.

the longer Buf takes to trade him, the lower the price team willing to pay will be, plus his NMC will hamper what team he can be traded too and with less years on his contract team will pony up less.

He’s getting the surgery. And will be ready in December his value hasn’t changed, Adams isn’t going to lower his asking price.

oh yes it has, he has to prove he is back to his old production of teams will not pony up for damaged goods, right now he is low value, going in for surgery that no NHL players has before had, uncertainty if he will recover 100% or if he will ever produce the way he used too, he has low value untill he produces at the level he did before surgery. Chiarelli isnt a GM anymore and Holland cannot fit him on the team so you cannot bank on idiot GMs

GM’s don’t value good players well either. If Jack was healthy teams would still hold on tight to their overrated prospects.

That trade is already pennies on the dollar. I would rather lose him for nothing in 5 years

Actually not even then. A no movement clause only gives him the power to decline A trade he doesn’t want. If he really wants out he will accept whatever trade the Sabres are prepared to make and go anywhere that isn’t Buffalo. The Sabres are under no obligation to trade him where he wants to go, he’ll go where the best offer is just to get out if he wants out badly enough. Otherwise unless the Sabres are violating the CBA and he has an opportunity to file and win a grievance, he has no recourse except to continue to play in Buffalo until they make a trade.

I think Buffalo fans just say any return is garbage if it doesn’t include another team’s best player and a recent top 5 pick

No weve laid out the reasons multiple times, everyone just wants to ignore what we say and gaslight us because its easier to dump a defense prospect than a top 6 forward prospect

Theres nothing there for Buffalo to consider, they are set with d prospects, they arent trading their franchise center for more, and White is a bust

Sabers fans so high on Eichel, he can't even look both ways before he crosses the street!

Too many question marks with the neck injury for you guys to get top dollar for him. Is he even going to play this year?

Letting him get the surgery??? Pretty sure he's been fighting to have the surgery and the Sabes have been denying him that.

A. Youre over blowing the severity
B. Yes, the Sabres agreed to let him get surgery

Yeah, it's a bit of an over-exaggeration, however it is a neck injury and he HASN'T had the surgery yet. If the Sabes were all in for him getting the surgery then why didn't he get it when they figured out that rehab wasn't working back in June? Compile that with the falling out Eichel and the Sabes front office has had, it doesn't look good. If I were a GM I'd be hesitant giving up full value for a player that isn't healthy and wants out. You are going to have to adjust your expectations on this trade or you are going to be disappointed.

Wouldn't you think he'd have to play to show he's recovered? From everything I've heard, Eichel has played his last game for Buffalo. With the comments coming out of his camp, I don't see any way he can suit up for them even if it's just a few games.
