I wouldn't consider it from the Leafs. Graves is okay, but he's nothing special. And taking 2 of our top 7 defenceman out of the equation for a more expensive 3rd pair guy is a really bad idea. Graves is certainly better than Dermott at this time but I don't think it's a huge difference. Liljegren I think will be better than both and Mikheyev is a good NHLer.

just think Sandin needs a big defenseman to help him be able to produce more offensively

No, Kampf has none of the offensive upside you'd be looking for.

I feel like Kampf can be a good defense to offense "starter" as in faceoff and takeaways in their own zone can start breakout chances with the team

Liljegren's ceiling js way higher than Graves will ever be
Graves will be old by the time the Devils are ready to contend while Liljegren fits the timeline almost perfectly

Iunno both Gourde and Coleman scored 20 goals prior to being on the same line together

Mikheyev is a pending UFA.
Dermott is 6/7 d-man (which could just block our pipeline).
Liljegren, while interesting because of his NJ roots, is not the prospect he once was.
Devils pass.

This 3rd line doesn’t even sniff Tampa’s from last year. None of the 3 here are close to any of the guys from Tampa’s line (maybe close to what goodrow was). I’d say this is 1/3 of what Tampa had.

Kampf and Kase aren’t anywhere close to Gourde and Coleman
