Is it a worse playoff team or just regular season team? Cause i will take a worse regular season team on paper to make it past the first round of the playoffs.

No...you don't give away a sure thing like Matthews for a good defenseman, a mediocre prospect and a bunch of lottery tickets (draft picks) because most of those draft picks will end up turning into nothing.
