In the 103 NHL season history of the Montréal Canadiens, the lowest points percentage they’ve ever had in a season was the 1939-40 season, when they were at .260.

The habs currently have a points percentage of .231.

Meanwhile Ducharme continues to run the same lines and says "the change is within the room"

At this point, Molson, please either extend MB or get a new GM, having MB for the rest of this year but not keeping him won’t do anything so pick a GM so they can start their job earlier

Is it weird that I actually want MB to stay as our GM during the rebuild? The way he sells high and buys low is incredible. Somebody needs to work on the develop side of our team though, but rebuilding seems like the perfect role for MB.

I would want that as well. For real. But I wouldn't be mad if they bring in some new faces.

I still think MB is a great GM so no it’s not weird, he’s been a pretty good trader and has brought some key pieces in FA, drafting and development could maybe use a bit of a boost though

I don't even think Timmins needs to go. Many of our prospects are promising until they become pro's. Then they hit a cliff and don't pan out. Not sure what causes that, but it's not good.

its because coaching never gives them a chance to flourish/they don't get surrounded with players that will help them grow. ex; Kotkaniemi, Poehling, Romanov sort-of, etc. The person I want gone the most is Ducharme, not Bergevin or Timmins.

Oh yeah, I wouldn’t mind Ducharme leaving, playoff run saved him, he hasn’t been great

His career was already done - it was simply extended because of the Taxi Squad.

Don't forget that he wasn't even behind the bench for a good part of that run.

My personnal explanation: this market is hockey crazed beyond sanity.

Niku scratched... the only defenseman able to produce offense on the roster is now Chris Wideman. I swear if Ducharme could clone David Savard he would ice 6 of them.

It was his fault for signing here. Everyone who knew what our organizational depth last year expected him to be our 14th forward. If anything he’s lucky he even made $750,000 last year, since no other team would give him a 1-way deal to play on the taxi-squad or in the AHL. In one season he made 7 years worth of what he would be getting in the AHL.

Also the article linked here is hilarious, acting as if Frolík is actually a good NHLer and isn’t just a left-handed version of Alex Belzile.

I'm curious to see Norlinder at the NHL level but honestly they should just keep him as far away as possible and play Niku instead.

Damn, I was hoping to see him play against the Marlies on the 17th.

And Norlinder isn’t NHL ready, don’t rush him and keep him the **** away from the tire fire that is the Montréal Canadiens.

From a fan POV, prospects of your team are always promising.

Timmins drafts between 2009-2015 are atrocious. Not only all the1st round picks busts (Leblanc Tinordi Beaulieu McCarron Scherbak or even Juulsen), but even mid-draft he had so much missed opportunities.

I posted some of his drafts during Bergevin era (page 16 of this thread).

Exemples :

Galchenyuk draft in 2012 :

Sebastian Collberg (RW) – 33th – 0 games
Dalton Thrower (RD) – 51th – 0 games
Tim Bozon (LW) – 64th – 0 games
Brady Vail (C) – 94th – 0 games

McCarron draft in 2013 :

Connor Crisp (LW) – 71th – 0 games (inactive)
Sven Adrighetto (LW) – 86th – 216 NHL games (inactive)
Martin Réway (LW) – 116th – 0 games

Missed opportunities - All wingers available

Between 71 and 86 :
Pavel Buchnevich – 75
Jake Guentzel – 77
Mattias Janmark – 79
Anthony Duclair – 80
Carter Verhaeghe – 82

Between 86 and 116 :
Oliver Bjorkstrand – 89
Miles Wood – 100
Nicholas Paul – 101
Andrew Copp – 104
