Where do we sign up?

Welcome to CapFriendly, by the way, if I haven't already said so.

not sure if it would be the best for Habs but they need cap space and tanking to rebuild future cause both Price and Weber are now distractions. Thx for the welcoming!

That's a horrible trade for Montreal, Allen is better than Stolarz, Romanov is better than Steel, Poehling is better than Mahura and Ylonen is better than Larsson, also any attempt to make this trade fairer will result in Anaheim declining since they probably aren't willing to give the assets needed for Romanov, Allen, Poehling and Ylonen

Montreal is not in rebuild mode and are not likely to enter a rebuild anytime soon. Weber is LTIR and Price will be back either before the season starts or shortly there after. Even IF Price was to forcibly retire we have Allen and Primeau in the organization. Allen is only 30 and is good enough to be the starter for extended periods of time and Primeau is the heir apparent to Price. Weber is harder to replace but not impossible and IF Guhle continues to shine he may be able to replace him this year or the year after. Lets wait and see how the season starts before writing them off just yet.

they've played till SCF they need a season break and renew the core around youngster i've changed Steel for Comtois to make it closer ... Funny how fans think sometime.

Why rebuild after making it to the SCF you came so close with the team as is makes no sense to sell off before taking the next steps. BTW Romanov is part of the young core

It just takes common sense of player valuations, when one is drastically better than the other, the position difference doesn't matter

My guess is that it was Steel instead of Comtois when you posted. Because with how the trade looks now the Ducks shouldn't do it imo. But the Habs shouldn't either.

There is no reason for the Ducks to trade Comtois. But there is also no reason for the Habs to accept this trade. I don't see either team wanting to do this trade anyways.
