Montreal can't take on cap without sending back cap. Plus a 2nd and 3rd tops not including a prospect unless you remove a pick

Is it so bad to want a good prospect for Strome? I mean… we don’t really need picks… at least not after the hawks showed what they want to do with them last draft.

Thats a fair comment indeed. It is true we don't need picks but we may need them to move contracts. The Nylander deal was hopeful, Without play, his return is not confident.

Powers thinks they’ll put Nylander on waivers, so unless he kicks ass in these last two preseason games it’s over for him in Chicago.

i think you are saying take the prospect and 1 pick over just picks. Strome is worth it
