Finally, a reasonable Letang trade. Habs do that, although they’ll probably have to move Chiarot to make the cap space for Letang. (Or just trade with a 3rd team to retain some salary)

Letang needs to come with an extension im thinking 2x5. Guentzel could probably give you even more. Rangers not doing that. Chicago not doing that

No from Minnesota! Again Minnesota isn't throwing around A 1st round pick and Potentially another 1st round pick for Greenway, and 2nd round pick for a winger. Minnesota doesn't need, have a want for expensive winger in Jake when wild's need is a C. Minnesota also doesn't have the cap. You are overvaluing Jake's worth, and Minnesota isn't the place to send him

That's an odd trade for Minnesota. While the value is decent, I guess, it doesn't fill a need for us. Giving up a 1st+ for a luxury asset isn't good asset management.

The Jets likely won't have the cap space for Rust, you'd have to take Beaulieu back to make it work, doubt the Jets would part with Vesalainen for a rental either.

He's not worth more than a superstar. Jake g isn't worth three 1st round pick, or more especially considering 2 bad playoff season of disappointment , disappearing and being called out by Pittsburgh coach. In addition to disappearing during games of season

I think the Rangers accept but that might come to bite them in their ass later somehow.

Winnipeg doesn't need Rust and can't afford his cap hit or to give away two good young players and picks for a rental.

So you are going to say kaprizov will get the same then? How about fiala? How about marner? Jake G hasn't done anything in playoffs last few years and which is why he was called out by your own coach

Guentzel is better than every player you just named except maybe Marner

Well when he does something in the playoffs then he will be worth that. 1g 1 assist this year's 6 playoffs gms for his team, and year prior, 1g , & 2 assist in 4g. Year prior, 1g , 0 assists on 4 games

1st off, Marner didnt do crap in the playoffs. Kaprizov and Fiala have only been to the playoffs once, and Guentzel was still recovering from an injury in 2019-20 and he still played. In this past playoff series, Crosby and Guentzel were getting shoved around because we dont have enough grit on this team. Guentzel has an elite shot and is elite overall. Hes worth a good player, a 1st, and a good prospect (B+ at least). But even then teams would have to overpay to get him because pens aren't trading him for anything unless it's for a massive return, which is not shown here

If malkin can play this season, maybe. If it’s a true rebuild, Crosby would be gone too. Rangers would be more interested in him
