That Eichel trade is somehow both an overpay and an underpay at the same time, the Sabres just aren't retaining on Eichel, it's not happening. It's such an expensive trade, and Eichel has such a big contract that trading for him is just stupid. I agree the Tinordi signing was daft, but Nemeth is alright, and not trading for Eichel was probably the smartest thing we did that offseason. Also if Kravtsov can't handle being sent down he has no place in this team imo. He's good but he's gotta lose the tude.

Yeah you forgot to mention the 50% retention on Eichel, which is a non starter, and then pretend the equivalent pick value means something. The Sabres never asked for an equivalent of 4 1sts, so the equivalent pick value doesnt matter. Strome either walks in a year or you put the onus on Buffalo to move him asap, Blais is a 4th liner, Kravtsov can be had for a cheap pick right now, the Sabres still dont need Robertson - dmen are not valuable in an Eichel trade, and Othmann is a meh forward - maybe can grow into a middle 6 winger, plus both 1sts would be over 20. For 50% retention... in conference... But clearly im just asking for McDavid and Draisaitl.

Dude you're not going to win this argument, Jack eichel @ $25,000,000 retained even injured is worth far more then what you're offering here that's for sure.
