Toews was a no.1 Dman last year by analytics. You're having a laugh

Not just by analytics, by the eye test too. Nearly 25 mins per game playing all situations and scoring over half a point per game. He is a no. 1 D man

I’ve seen a decent amount of Avs games and that dude is simply fantastic. He’s of the Slavin type really good, but isn’t necessarily the sexy name you here about all the time.

Why would you give a 1st pick to a rival team ?

So COL takes the older worse dman whose contract expires in a year and you think a 2nd makes up the difference? LOL at least it wasn’t a Price or Drouin trade but to say COL laughs at that offer is an understatement.

one of the worst proposals for Toews on this site, why would the Avs do this move, regardless of the massive undervaluing of him in this trade, 1 good reason why they would trade toews?

To be fair at least the OP chose a good target. Montreal should have tried acquiring him last offseason though, and easily would have been able to outbid Sakic with all their draft picks. Not sure if Toews would sign for 4 years with them though.

Why would Tampa trade a Selke dark horse for a fourth liner and magic beans?
